This old programme was recently discovered when either Balfron had its own picture house or it was a time in the 1950s or 1960s when films were being shown independently, as now, but in the McLintock Hall or the Pirn Inn rather than the High School. The Pennycook family ran a series of cinemas in the early part of the 20th century, across towns and cities in central Scotland including Camelon, Perth, Dundee and Glasgow
